The Shawshank Redemption is a prison drama. The director of this movie is Frank Darabont. The movie genre is prison. The lead character's name is Andy Dufresne played by Tim Robbins. He is the former president of Portland Bank. Another main character’s name is Red played by Morgan Freeman. He is a smuggler. He procures item from outside and receives fees from prisoners. This movie won the Japan Academy Award for Best Foreign Work in 1996. Also, this movie was nominated for 7 Academy Awards. Andy, a bank clerk, was sent to prison for shooting his wife and his mistress. At first, he was confused, but eventually he caught the Prisoner Red’s heart with his mysterious charm. After 20 years, he had important evidence to clear the false accusation against him. There is a problem that disappears in the darkness because it of a criminal prison warden.
